The UK Study Centre

The UK Study Centre was established in 1983, as the first study centre of Newport University outside the USA. During the past twenty years or so thousands of students from all parts of the world have completed their degree through this study centre. With a few changes to its organisational structure, the UK Study Centre continues its operation as part of Newport International University. However, this Centre does not offer all the approved degree programmes of NIU. Below is a list of the degrees currently being offered by the UK Study Centre.

Distance Learning- Length of the Degree

The normal duration of the Master and Doctoral programmes is shown above. The time involved in achieving a Bachelor degree by distance learning varies from individual to individual. The time frame depends upon the transfer of credits the student brings into the pgrogramme, allowable credits for life experience, and the effort the student desires to put into the programme. As a guideline we recommended that a student completes one course [5 units] within six weeks.

Note:

Although considered as full-time, the Doctoral programmes do not involve any mandatory attendance as research, problem solving and report writing are the main learning activities. However, students work under the guidance and supervision of our tutors. In addition, periodic group tutorials are being held on campus for the benefit of students following the DBA and PhD in Business Administration programmes.
